Specialist Hygiene Services Limited, provides cleaning and support services to client premises and within the community in the UK. We are committed to control, review, and take steps to reduce the environmental impact of that service that will benefit our clients, our communities, and our company, and contribute to the wider global goals of protecting our planet for the future.

 
To achieve this we have developed and implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) under the provisions of the European Standard ISO 14001. 
 
Through the system we shall aim to deliver the following core objectives in the key areas where we have direct control of our environmental influence, and encourage others with whom we work to do the same:
 
·    review our environmental performance and take steps to achieve continuous improvement.
 
·    reducing or preventing, where possible, the pollution of land, air or water
 
·    comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and other requirements and commitments that may apply to the service or client contract.
 
·    identify clear environmental objectives relevant to the nature, scale and environmental impact of our activities.
 
The company is committed to:
 
·    reducing energy consumption by sensible, practicable energy management of our vehicles, buildings, and equipment.
 
·    reducing waste and re-using or recycling materials where appropriate.
 
·    communicating with our suppliers and customers in encourage good environmental practices and sustainability in the selection, use, re-cycling and disposal of materials and resources used in the Company's business.
 
·    provide relevant relevant training and information to employees whose activities have a significant environmental impact, and encourage the development of good environmental practice by all company employees by communicating this policy to them.
 
·    review our progress towards these objectives using a suitable measure.
 
·    assess our impact on local communities to reduce or minimise nuisance
 
·    publicise our policy to suppliers, employees, clients, and the wider community, and encourage others to be aware of their environmental impact and to take positive steps in making reductions
